MSCCN Applicant Virtual Job Placement at Gant Travel
A message from MSCCN President and CEO, Deb Kloeppel:

MSCCN holds a very successful job placement record regarding our MSCCN military
applicant workforce. Recently, MSCCN began to place our military spouse applicants into
virtual corporate jobs. I’d like to introduce our most recent "virtual" job placement success
story, Melissa Connell.

In the Words of Melissa Connell, Army Spouse, Fort Campbell

I have been a travel agent for 12 years prior to my husbands’ first deployment. I stopped
working in 2002 due to starting a family and deployment. We have moved every year
since 2004 and I could not commit to a company. I then decided to pursue a work from
home position.

While searching I came across the MSCCN web site and posted my resume. A few months
later I received a call about a position with a company out of Chicago to work virtually
from home. Approximately 2 weeks later I was offered the position.

I believe that if not for the help of MSCCN I would not have found this opportunity.

Thank you!

MSCCN Applicant Successfully Place at Concentra
A message from MSCCN President and CEO, Deb Kloeppel:

I am proud to announce the job placement of our MSCCN applicant, San Hains, into the
Concentra organization. Hains was born and raised in Louisiana, and is a proud, prior
military servicemember of the United States Coast Guard. Hains came to MSCCN with
excellent X-Ray technician experience and credentials.

Our MSCCN Job Placement Specialist, Celeste Snyder, submitted Hains resume directly
to a Concentra recruiter in December of 2007, and stayed involved within Concentra’s
hiring process of Mr Hains during a 2-month timeframe. In February 2008, Concentra
interviewed Hains and the rest is history, as they say. “I tried Monster, as well as all
of the usual job boards and employment services available to the military,” said Hains,
“MSCCN was the only organization that actually called me and offered personal
one-on-one guidance into my job request.”

“I knew the career field I wanted to be in and I knew the organization I wanted to work
for, I found an open job position from the MSCCN web site that satisfied all of my
employment wish list items,” continued Hains. “MSCCN worked for 2 months diligently
to get me hired with Concentra. MSCCN never gave up.”

Hains is gainfully employed at Concentra to this very day.

Feedback on the MSCCN and CAI Training/Certification Program

Jessica T. Moore-Tyson's Comments:
I am a proud Marine spouse from the Camp Lejeune, NC area.

I really appreciate the hard work and dedication that MSCCN shows military spouses.
The CAI training that I received allowed me to obtain a much sought after credential and
opened an entirely new career field to me. As a result of this training, I was contacted
by the Homeowner Associations of North Carolina, which helped me make important
contacts in this field and alerted me to upcoming career opportunities.

What I enjoyed most about my experience with MSCCN was meeting all of the other
spouses, and being able to share in the challenges and rewards of being a military spouse.
The services provided by MSCCN are invaluable to military families and I am proud to
associate myself with this group of dedicated professionals.

Jennifer & Jody Carpenter Meet the Carpenters

Jody Carpenter, a Reserve HM2, did not know the
difficulties he would face when he volunteered
to fill a billet for an eight-month deployment.
HM2 Carpenter felt he was doing his job to support
a Marine unit in need of a medic.

While he was preparing for the deployment, his wife,
Jennifer, was preparing to receive a kidney
transplant.

Wilmer & Sandra FerrerMeet Wilmer and Sandra Ferrer

Sandra Ferrer’s Comments:
As a reservist spouse, I do not face all of the same
difficulties that an active duty spouse does but we do
have similar situations that we share.

One of those situations is deployment and activation.
Wilmer was activated and sent to Iraq for a 15-month
tour.
